| Hey Y'all! I'm Mary, and this is my introduction!!!! I'm 51 (pushing 52 awfully hard). I've been married a little over 6 years to a wonderful and supportive man. This is the 2nd marriage for both of us. Between us we have 6 kids and 12 grandkids. The oldest grandchild is 13 and the youngest is only 2 days old!!!! We currently live in Fort Wayne, Indiana, but travel extensively with my husband's job. We've been in 42 states plus Canada and Mexico since we've been together. I don't work. I travel with my husband and I shop. He says it's his job to make the money and my job to spend it. I'm very happy to oblige!!! I've been fighting my weight ever since I was young. I'd finally started losing weight just before I met my husband. Then I was diagnosed with Psoriatic Arthritis and Fibromyalgia. The meds they gave me for the Fibro caused me to gain 45 lbs in one month! After about a year of constant weight gain, and a very noticible decrease in mental abilities (including getting lost driving a route I'd driven dozens of times), I flushed the meds and have been 'tolerating' the pain as much as possible. My weight stabilized but I'm having a lot of trouble getting it off. I can start a diet and lose weight, then start gaining it back without going off the diet or just plateau. This time I lost 30 lbs then gained back 10. I've been on a plateau for several months and want to start losing again...no I NEED to start losing again. That's why I'm here. And that's me in a nutshell. |
