| Isn’t it amazing? For the last year, several of us have been espousing on our websites and blogs that the word “Diet” is a misnomer, obsolete, NOT proper as a singular way to go about effecting body contour changes. Notice they’ve also eliminated the term “weight loss”? Now, just about every corporate American diet program that advertises on TV has dropped the term “Diet” from their names. Names like “Living”, “Meals” and “Lifestyle” now follow their corporate names! As well, the term “weight loss” seems to have all but disappeared from their advertising. What an honor to be among those few independent, non-corporate types who have forced corporate America to wake up and smell the coffee! Unfortunately, they still do not see the light. Nutrition and meals are just ONE aspect of lifestyle. And Americans are much smarter than to continue to fall prey to their continued marketing ploys. Switching up words and terms is pure semantics because a “diet” is a “diet” and pushing “weight loss” is pushing “weight loss” no matter what the promo’s say when your marketing the same thing. Why give some corporate American executives any of your hard-earned money? Remember, these folks are of the same ilk as brought you lead-tainted toys and don’t care to do anything about it. You do not need to waste your time and money on these “lose weight” mongers. You do not need to have your hand held and told how and what to eat at every meal. You are not weak. You CAN do this yourself. You can utilize the resources that are readily available to you and are free, in order to get the know-how to effect great changes in your life, body, mind and spirit. If you can find the courage to start, you can summon the conviction to begin multiple lifestyle changes gradually, one at a time. And if you can find the strength, to make lifestyle changes one at a time, you can summon the fortitude to maintain those changes and make them lifetime! If you are insistent on getting help, then spend your money on a local lifestyle coach or fitness trainer or nutritionist, a local individual with a local business who is earning a living, just like you. So, ditch the “diets”. Set your bar higher than mere “weight loss”. Go for “body fat reduction” and “body contouring”. Tell Jenny to jog-on. Give the Watcher a send-off wave. Send the Beach-ies bye-bye. Say siunara to the System. And dig in, get the knowledge - at no cost – about living a healthy lifestyle and get going, all on your own! |
